Radiology & imaging centres

From the request to the signed report, without the film

Imaging requests arrive on a worklist from the consulting room or from clinics on the Connect network. Studies are stored and opened in the browser, and the signed report goes back to the clinician who asked for it.

The study Stored as DICOM
The imaging study at the centre. Orders arrive from the consultation and from clinics on the Connect network, and the signed report goes back to both. Studies are uploaded over HTTPS. The radiologist reads the study in the browser viewer, critical findings are called with the read-back recorded, and outside clinicians see images through a time-limited link.

The problem

What it is built to fix

Films and CDs carried by hand

Patients carry their images between facilities, and the report arrives separately, if at all.

Reports that never reach the doctor

A typed report sits at the imaging centre while the referring clinician waits.

Critical findings by phone tag

An urgent finding depends on someone remembering to call, and nobody records that they did.

What is included in Reports and critical findings: 4 items
  • Reports signed by the radiologist, with addenda after signing
  • Critical findings with documented read-back
  • Reports returned to the ordering clinician, including outside clinics on Connect

Workflow

One study, start to finish

  1. Order

Requested in the consultation, or sent by a clinic on Connect.

  2. Acquire

The study is uploaded and stored over DICOMweb.

  3. Read

The radiologist opens it in the browser viewer.

  4. Report

The report is signed; critical findings are called and recorded.

  5. Return

The report reaches the clinician who ordered it.

Frequently asked questions

Can our scanners send studies straight to H-Link?

Studies are uploaded to H-Link over a secure HTTPS connection. We confirm how your specific modalities and any existing PACS will connect during discovery.

Can an imaging centre use H-Link on its own?

Imaging runs as a department of a facility on H-Link, and receives orders from outside clinics through the Connect network. If you run a standalone imaging centre, talk to us about how it would be set up.

Do you use AI to read images?

There is an experimental screening tool, clearly marked as not for clinical decisions. It is not part of what we offer for patient care.

Tell us how your facility runs today. We will show you the platform on the departments you care about, and scope a pilot with the numbers agreed up front.
