Hospital & standalone pharmacies

Dispensing and stock without the guesswork

Prescriptions arrive from the consulting room or the counter, are checked before they are dispensed, and draw down stock by batch — so you know what you have, what is expiring and what to reorder.

The problem

What it is built to fix

Stock you cannot see

Counts kept on cards, stock-outs discovered at the counter, and expired medicines found at the back of the shelf.

Interactions caught by memory

Busy dispensers relying on recall to spot a dangerous combination or dose.

Dispensed but not paid

Medicines leaving the pharmacy before the bill is settled or the claim is recorded.

Capabilities

What Pharmacy does

Prescribing and dispensing

One queue for prescriptions from the hospital and walk-in customers.

What is included in Prescribing and dispensing: 5 items
  • Electronic prescriptions from the consultation
  • Walk-in and external prescriptions
  • A pharmacist verifies, and a different person hands over
  • Payment checked before dispensing, where the facility requires it
  • No price, no dispense: only managers set prices, and every change is logged

Safety screening

Every hand-over goes through the same checks, and every override needs a recorded reason.

What is included in Safety screening: 4 items
  • Allergy check, including related drug families
  • Drug-interaction check, including home medicines, with rules for antimalarials, HIV, TB and pregnancy
  • The batch must match the prescribed drug; expired or recalled batches are refused
  • Paediatric, renal and hepatic dosing calculators

Stock, batches and expiry

Every movement recorded against a batch, so the numbers are real.

What is included in Stock, batches and expiry: 5 items
  • Stock by batch, with expiry dates
  • First-expiry-first-out dispensing and at-risk stock flags
  • Recalls that quarantine the batch and list the patients who received it
  • Demand forecasts with confidence ranges, stock-out dates and draft reorders
  • Purchase orders and receiving into stores

Standalone and multi-branch

The same pharmacy module runs on its own for retail and community pharmacies.

What is included in Standalone and multi-branch: 4 items
  • Retail till with receipts, voids and refunds
  • Prescriptions from clinics, through a client portal or the Connect network
  • Stock shared on Connect as in, low or out, only if you switch sharing on
  • Multi-branch organisations on the Growth plan

Workflow

From prescription to hand-over

  1. Prescribe

From the consultation, a walk-in, or a clinic on the Connect network.

  2. Verify

    A pharmacist verifies the prescription.

  3. Pay

Payment is confirmed first, where the facility requires it.

  4. Check

Allergies, interactions and the batch are checked; an override needs a reason.

  5. Hand over

A different person hands it over, and stock is drawn down by batch.

Frequently asked questions

Can a community pharmacy use H-Link on its own?

Yes. The Essential and Growth plans are built for standalone pharmacies and include only pharmacy and billing. See pricing.

How is reordering worked out?

From your own dispensing history: demand is forecast statistically, with safety stock and supplier lead times, rather than estimated by a language model.

Do you track controlled drugs?

Yes. A controlled-drug register records witnessed counts, waste and destruction: who did what, and when.

Will other pharmacies see our stock?

No. Only clinics and hospitals connected to you see it, and only if you switch sharing on. They see each item on your list as in stock, low or out; the stock check never shows quantities or prices.
