For patients

Patients see their own care, without calling to ask

My Health gives each patient their own sign-in to the records their clinic keeps. Results appear once they are released to the patient, bookings and refills are requests rather than phone calls, and an order sent to a lab or pharmacy can be followed from start to finish.

Results Once released
Order tracking Status only, if the clinic allows
Appointments Request a slot
Refills Request
Care team Secure messages
Video visits
My Health In the phone’s browser
My Health on the patient's phone at the centre. Lab results reach the patient once they are released, and, if the clinic switches tracking on, orders sent over Connect can be followed by status only, never results. The patient requests appointments and refills, exchanges secure messages with the care team, and joins video visits.

The problem

What it is built to fix

The phone never stops

Reception spends the day answering “are my results ready?” and “can I book for Tuesday?”.

Results with no one to explain them

A patient handed a printout of numbers, with no context and no one to ask.

Orders that disappear

A patient sent to a lab or pharmacy has no way to know where their order has got to.

Capabilities

What My Health does

Their own record

Patients sign up themselves and link to the records their clinic keeps.

What is included in Their own record: 4 items
  • Self sign-up, then linking to the clinic’s record with a verification code
  • Lab results shown only once released to the patient: by a clinician, or after a waiting time your facility sets
  • A “results ready” message that never contains the values
  • Medicines and refill requests

Visits and messages

Fewer calls to reception, and care that does not need a journey.

What is included in Visits and messages: 3 items
  • Appointment requests from the clinic’s available slots
  • Secure messages to the care team
  • Video visits in the browser, with consent recorded

Order tracking

For orders the clinic sends over the Connect network.

What is included in Order tracking: 3 items
  • Follow a lab or pharmacy order with the code or QR on the clinic’s slip
  • Status only: results are never shown through tracking
  • Switched on by the clinic, not by default

A health assistant

Answers about the patient’s own care in plain words, with a reminder to talk to their clinician.

What is included in A health assistant: 2 items
  • Explanations of their own results and medicines, in English and several other languages
  • Messages that mention common emergency symptoms, such as chest pain or trouble breathing, get a fixed instruction to seek care instead of an AI answer

Frequently asked questions

Do patients see results before the doctor?

Not unless your facility chooses it. A result appears in My Health once it is released to the patient: by a clinician, or, if your facility switches it on, automatically after a waiting time you set. Critical results wait for a person unless you change that.

Does the patient need an app from the store?

No. My Health runs in the phone’s web browser.

Where is the AI assistant’s processing done?

On HMIE, H-Link’s own medical models, on GPU servers we control at a hosting provider named in our sub-processor list. A guard in the software refuses to send patient data to cloud AI companies. The security page sets out what leaves our hosting and why.
